GENESIS II/PLANET EARTH Two telefilm pilots by Gene Roddenberry are the first and second incarnations of the Dylan Hunt character, played by Alex Cord in the first and John Saxon in the second, both telefilms on one DVD.
SPECTRE 1977 telefilm pilot by Gene Roddenberry about a pair of psychic investigators played by Robert Culp and Gig Young, featuring a young John Hurt and as with all Roddenberry pilots Majel Barrett Roddenberry.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA The British telefilm set release is a 96 min version of the pilot, which would be right for a 2 hour slot. The previous U.K. release was of the 3 part edited version. The original first syndication run played the first time in a 2 and a half hour time slot, with a very similar edit to the 125 min theatrical version, except of course they don't kill Baltar.
LOST PLANET OF THE GODS Released as two part version in the U.K. Telefilm set. Even the eventual commercial release in the 90's in the U.S. on VHS was of the original two-part version. The telefilm version has a number of additional or extended scenes.
THE PHANTOM IN SPACE Episodes "The Lost Warrior" And "Hand of God" which contain extra scenes and revised continuity. Actually a "Hand Of God" sandwich with "Lost Warrior" in the middle. The planet Equaillus is mentioned more.
CASANOVA OF SPACE Episodes "The Long Patrol" And "Take The Celestra" which contain extra scenes and revised continuity.Again, "Take the Celestra" is done in two halves around "Long Patrol". Starbuck juggles three women and a female computer.
THE GUN ON ICE PLANET ZERO Even the eventual commercial release in the 90's on VHS was of the original two-part version. We used the telefilm from an 80's syndication play to reconstruct a superior version. Extra scenes, longer scenes and revised scene order.
CURSE OF THE CYLONS Episodes "The Magnificent Warriors" And "Fire in Space" which contains extra scenes and revised continuity. Works best as a combo because they aired close together and little continuity had to be modified. Works best of the combos.
MURDER IN SPACE Episodes "Murder on the Rising Star" and "The Young Lords" which contain extra scenes and revised continuity . Instead of giving up in the launch tube Starbuck launches, pursued by Boomer. He decides to go back and face the charges when the Cylons attack, forcing him to crash on the planet Attilla. Once rescued the trial continues, though completely without Baltar, a key participant in the episodic version . This is the most revised continuity of the telefilms.
THE LIVING LEGEND original telefilm version has a number of additional or extended scenes.
THE LIVING LEGEND EXTENDED EDITION The Extended edition is the original story continuity with extra effects scenes from the theatrical MISSION GALACTICA which had a different ending. An extra 15 minutes.
WAR OF THE GODS We have the true telefilm version, the only one in the U.K release to actually be a telefilm version, and we have an 80's play. Scenes added or lengthened, lines added.
SPACE PRISON Episodes "Man With Nine Lives" And "Baltar Escapes" which is the natural combination of the two Noman stories. More additional voiceovers in this one than most. And a complete sequence of Baltar surrendering (from WAR OF THE GODS) so film could stand alone.
GREETINGS FROM EARTH This was the only two hour story to play as such during the original run so as such had fewest changes. The British release is of the syndicated two part version. The Epic set features the original two hour play. We have the telefilm in syndicated true telefilm form with extra scenes from an 80's play.
EXPERIMENT IN TERRA Universal says it doesn't exist, the oddest of all because they only had one episode to work with (same title), so they retell the origin story, add some new footage and concept paintings seen nowhere else and throw in half of The Return of Starbuck from Galactica 1980 with a revised ending before we get to Experiment in Terra with some extended scenes. Easily the worst, yet strangely the most interesting and collectable, not to mention rarest of the set. We have sold many copies to satisfied collectors. Recently acquired a new and even better copy!
CONQUEST OF EARTH The saddest of all, they took parts of 5 episodes of GALACTICA 1980,the three part pilot and the two part episode The Night the Cylons Landed to make a 100 minute telefilm. It moves right along, they even made the two Dr. Zees brothers to explain the discontinuity of having two different actors play Dr. Zee. The original versions of the episodes are also available.
MISSION GALACTICA The theatrical release is a combination of FIRE IN SPACE and LIVING LEGEND and with a different ending from TV version.
